This book gives opportunity to get acquainted with the main African social values which are human warmth stamped solidarity, free-sharing and spirit of communal life, by analysing some channels of their incubation, maturation and transmission in Africa. It then puts at our disposal and at the right moment, the African items of the necessary dialogue between cultures.

The author draws particular attention to the fact that such a dialogue must strictly take place in total humility, for each has to give and to receive, and not in the Western condescension which nowadays characterizes international relations. In fact, Africans have to reinforce the conquest of Western science, techniques and technologies and Westerners have to go down their pedestal and to learn from their former slaves.
